We are pleased to invite you to the fourth session of the joint seminar series "Mend the Gap in Europe and Central Asia: Evidence for Policy and Operations", hosted by Bocconi University’s AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality and the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia Gender Innovation Lab.

Family Compatibility of High-Income Careers and Girls’ Career Aspirations
Speaker: Dilnovoz Abdurazzakova, Research Fellow, J-PAL Europe
Discussant: Nato Kurshitashvili, Senior Transport Specialist, World Bank
Chair: Paola Profeta, Full Professor & Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability, Bocconi University

This session presents evidence from a field experiment in Uzbekistan showing that addressing work-family compatibility in dual-income households raises girls' STEM aspirations and enrollment, and explores how these findings inform policy design, particularly for female talent pipeline programs in male-dominated sectors.

The webinar will take place on Zoom (no registration required).
