A Free Lunch? How Changing Childcare Defaults Increases Parental Supply
We are pleased to invite you to the second session of the joint seminar series "Mend the Gap in Europe and Central Asia: Evidence for Policy and Operations", hosted by Bocconi University’s AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality and the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia Gender Innovation Lab.
A Free Lunch? How Changing Childcare Defaults Increases Parental Supply
(Speaker: Justus Bamert, Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate, Princeton University)
This session presents causal evidence from a policy reform that shifted public lunchtime childcare from an opt-in to an opt-out default. It will conclude with a discussion with World Bank Education and Social Policy specialists on how these findings can inform policy design and be translated into concrete operational action.
The webinar will take place on Zoom (no registration required).
