Manfredi Sveva

Sveva Manfredi is a Research Assistant at the Centre for Economic Performance - Labour Policies for Inclusive Growth, working under Professor Alan Manning. Her research focuses on key topics in labour and public economics.
Current areas of research include:
- Immigration: Investigating the composition and dynamics of the UK's mixed ethnicity population.
- Labour Market Inequalities: Examining the child penalty in female employment and time-use, as well as the role of childcare policies and gender norms across countries.
- Political Representation: Exploring how gender and political affiliation influence the substantive representation of women’s interests in public policy.

Maddalena Matrone

Maddalena Matrone is a PhD candidate in International Economics at the Geneva Graduate Institute, with research interests centered on Macroeconomics and Gender. Before beginning the PhD, she worked as a Research Associate at the Evaluation Lab of the Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale, and as a Research Assistant at the AXA Research Lab on Gender Equality, where she continues to collaborate on a research paper stemming from her Master’s thesis. In 2022, she obtained a Master’s degree (MSc) in Politics and Policy Analysis with honors from Bocconi University, following a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Economics with honors from University of Rome Tor Vergata.
